ACAA AAA Head Coaches In Place for the 2021-2022 Season

May. 14, 2021

Airdrie, Alberta- May 13, 2021 The Airdrie Cochrane Athletic Association (ACAA) is excited to introduce the Head Coaches who will be leading our teams for the 2021-2022 season:

Tyson Soloski - Airdrie Xtreme U15 AAA

Soloski has been Head Coach of the Xtreme since the beginning of the 2019 season.  He has been involved in hockey for as long as he can remember, first as a player and then as a coach. He was an Assistant Coach at the U18 AA level, and spent 2 years as the U15 AA Head Coach for the Bow Valley Timberwolves. He then became Head Coach of the U18 AA Timberwolves, winning the North Division Championship. Soloski has also served as an Assistant Coach with the AC Avalanche and was involved with Hockey Alberta’s U13 Prospects Cup as an Assistant Coach, which he feels truly showed him how to be an elite level coach. Soloski has been instrumental in keeping our athletes engaged during Covid 19 and the resulting restrictions surrounding the pandemic.

Kris Keller - AC Avalanche U16 AAA

Keller has spent the last five seasons coaching in the U16 AAA AMMHL/AEHL league, four of which have been as an Associate Coach with the AC Avalanche under the tutelage of Head Coach Terry Sydoryk. Keller is entering into his ninth season as a coach and has switched roles with Sydoryk, who will remain with the team in an Associate Coaching position. Keller’s primary objective is development, and he hopes to graduate as many players as possible up from the Avalanche to their best possible next level. Keller has a long history with the AC Avalanche as he was a player in 2008, 2009 and continued playing in front of the hometown crowd as member of the Cochrane Generals from 2009-2013.

Brad Bourke - Airdrie CFR Chemicals U18 AAA Bisons

A familiar face within the organization, Bourke has been an Associate Coach for the Bisons since 2018. Prior to joining the ACAA, Brad has held coaching a position within Alberta Cup, has worked as an instructor for the University of Alberta Summer Hockey Camp Program and was a Personal and Foundational Strength Trainer for TB Development.  He is currently the area manager for Global Sport Academy Group where he has worked closely with the school division to evolve the CFR Chemicals U18 AAA Program. Bourke’s playing experience is extensive and includes time in the AJHL, BCHL, ECHL, SPHL and ACAC.  Bourke was the recipient of numerous awards while playing for the Augustana Vikings of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) including Rookie of the Year, Award of Merit and he was a part of the 2011-2012 Championship Team.

Congratulations to Tyson, Kris and Brad! The ACAA is looking forward to a great upcoming season.
